Fada Catalin
#1

Hi Folks:

There are a few of the most collected Catalin and Plakson radio's that I love and wish I could own. A friend has told me that prices on some of these have come down to more sane levels in recent years. I would welcome any general advice about that subject as I am planning on going to Kuntztown and hope to look at a few examples in person for the first time.

The Fada 1000 is beautiful and I know very little about that company except that they were in NYC. If anyone would comment on the sound quality and tube technology of that radio versus Philco, RCA and Zenith peers, I would appreciate it. Those three companies are my favorites and I hope to own at least one pristine example from each company pre and post war.

My other polymer favorites: Emerson Patriot, Sparton Cloisonne & Sled and the Addison 2.

Thanks for reading.
