Is this a Philco Grandfather Clock?
#1

I spoke to the seller earlier in the week. If he still has it, I am going to look at it tomorrow as I am there on business.

What I cant tell is which model it is. Its hard to see in the pics, but the grill is different from any other Philco I can find here or online. It has two double vertical grill "slats" on each side where the ones I typically see have one on each side. The face looks a little different from a Model 570 also.

Is this authentic?

Thanks,

I took the photo of the front of the set and greatly turned up the luminance so I could make it out.

My vote is for a Phranken-Philco and not a legitimate, authentic set. Looks like someone combined the case of a Philco grandfather clock, the front panel of a Model 60 console, a non-original clock face (probably movement also) as well as a Model 60 chassis and speaker to make an odd combination.

I tend to agree with Ron that
it's a Franken-Father.

Or if you prefer, The Odd Father of clocks.

;-)

Decent job though.

Thanks, I'll pass on it.
