Does anyone have a schematic for this unit? Doesn't show up in Beitmans.
It is a battery unit, & in good shape yet. Daughter-in-law's Father wants it fixed if possible.
Is this one of the photo finishes on the cabinet that is kind of touchy to
re-finish? The cabinet is in really good shape except for a small amount of dirt & age.
It has one of the battery eliminators also--don't know if it works or not. Any words of wisdom on the eliminator--good--bad? Thanks for any help.

It partially depends on what equipment you have, what repair skills you have and how much time and money you want to put into it.. It can be fixed most likely..
Minimumly you need to replace the Electrolytic Capacitors and I would suggest you also get a Variac to test the battery Eliminator while not attached to the radio and measure its voltages using the variac.. You should replace the Caps in the Elminator as well..
If you do not or are not able to do even this then I would suggest finding someone from the Philco Phorum who lives close by and has the equipment for a meeting and see if He/She can help you determine what condition the Radio is in.. And what it would take to repair it..

Try to get a pic & check the model # again.
Was going to recap & check the resistors on the Philco for
sure, & then go into the eliminator to see what that's
like. Have read about those eliminators, but never had
one on the bench.
A thousand pardons---just went out to check the serial
#, & it is 41-95. Had the set out in the shed, & it was
kind of dark. Shows up better out in the sun.
Beitmans still doesn't show this model #.

The 41-90 and 41-95 have the same schematic: see the link Carl posted above. You can also order schematics from several folks including Chuck Schwark at http://www.philcorepairbench.com/schematics.htm . Chuck's schematics are very clear and readable and he will often have more info than you find in the Riders info on Nostalgiaair. If the cabinet is in good shape you may just need to clean it up. Some GOJO (the type WITHOUT the pumice in it) is good to use. Smear it on with a paper or cloth towel and wipe it off; repeat until the towels come up clean (which may take a number of repetitions). When done just let any residual gojo evaporate off; will take a day or so. There are a number of threads on this in the cabinet restoration section.

Thanks much for the pointers on the schematic. Guess I never thought about NA.
After getting the unit out in the sunshine, I could see that the radio has the
original corrugated box which it had been shipped in.
The cabinet does have small paint spots on the top. Hopefully, they won't cause
too many problems.

Sorry, Brenda, for not getting back on the model. It is
the table model unit. I'm kind of surprised to see a
push pull output on this battery set. Kind of wondering
about the B+ not going to the plates on the output.

Hi! Finally getting back to this unit. Got a question about the 1A7G.
Pin 4 which the RCA pindex shows is grids #3 & 5 has a .25 UFD
tubular going to chassis ground. The schematic doesn't show this cap
& there is no cap of .25 listed in the parts.
It is Philco part # 61-0112D. Looks like it was factory installed, & the
whole unit hasn't been worked on.
Any thoughts on why the cap wasn't in the schematic, but was included
in the radio?? Production change which wasn't documented in the
schematic?? Thanks for any ideas.

If you are using a Nostalgia Air copy of a Rider's schematic it might not be documented as a production change. If it looks factory, I'd treat it as factory and replace the cap just as it is.
Chuck Schwark's service packages are genuine Philco. They'd probably be complete and accurate about production changes.

Thanks much for your input. Think I'll put in a new one & see how it goes.
Left the old one in to fire the unit up. Got an 810 station to come in around 1400, so will have to align it yet.
Good news is that the battery eliminator is working well--1.48 v. on the A+ & 85 v. on B+ with the unit operating.

Hi! Finally got the 41-95 ready to go. Thought I'd hopefully send
a couple of pics of the finished unit. Only re-finished the top---
which had the paint spots. The rest of the cabinet was left as it
was. Fairly easy, as the unit had been well taken care of.
