Tone Control values, Model 14, 91
#1

I'm going though a Model 14LZX, twin speaker chassis and have noticed a certain amount of deformation and leakage around the tar potted condensers in the tone control, part # 06698.
I can't find any values to replace these condensers; does anyone know what they are??

Thanks in advance.

Have you looked at the schematics here on Ron's site in the SCHEMATICS section?

No I hadn't--Thanks Chuck!!

I have the same question posted here.

I have a tone control part number 06698 that has fixed condensers in it but no values on the schematic.

Tried going to the "PhilcoRepairBench.com" (sorry don't know everyone's names yet) site and checked for "Tone control" values but didn't see the part number on the list of Tone controls.

I also checked the schematics section of that site, but didn't find anything there.....always possible I missed it by accident.

Anyway, does anyone have the condenser values inside this tone control part?

You can find Ron's cleaned up schematics here:

What model, code number are you actually working on?

I know this thread is older, and none of the links work any more.
I have the same issue, I need to get information on the #06698 Tone Control. The schematic I have shows it having 2 capacitors in it, no values. It's also not in Ray Bintliffs Philco booklet.
Some versions of the Model 91 used a #04787, but that has 3 caps, and information is available.
Anyone have the information on #06698?

Thanks
