Gilfillan ??
#1

The chassis here is similar to the Allwave Super 6T, only, as I recall, it only has 5 tubes. I'll have to look again. Needless to say, I did not use a schematic for the restore.

Yah, I'm bad. I posted it on the other site (and my page) first. BUT no response there and I know you guys are smarter.Icon_lolno

So has anybody seen this ~1934 Gilfillan?

Good looking set! ... I like it. Gillifan seems to be one of those companies that produced a lot of undocumented radios.

If you can get a hold of the Gernsback Official Radio Service Manual volume 6 (1936) I believe that your schematic for the Gilfillan Model 5-Tube All Wave Super is on page 521.

Tube line-up is 6A7, 78, 75, 42, and 80.

There is a guy on eBay selling high resolution scans on DVD of these manuals, the complete set, volumes 1 thru 8. It's a great resource to have that includes many radios not listed in Riders.

Ahem....saw something that looks like this close to the wood line on my backyard. So this is where chopped liver comes from?

I've always liked chopped liver.

I have that DVD, but the radio is done anyway. I didn't really need a schematic.
