Philco 51-T1602 bulit in aerial system
#1

Hi!
A friend of our had this old philco tv sitting in his house. He was going to toss it so we took it. I've been looking online but I can't find any info on this model. Does anyone know what it could be worth? The model is 51-T1602 and the serial number is 39-9251-115. It has a built in aerial system with a dial on top. It still makes some noise when it's plugged in but no light from the screen, only a light behind the dial.

Any information is appreciated! Thank you!

This one looks similar, though it is year 49, not 51.

(yours got no legs).

Dunno, but up to a $100 depending on the condition.....

yes, it's similar. I've seen old philcos sell between $400-$1000. What is it that makes them valuable?

I see Predictas in good condition selling for about 400 and p, but hose are fashionable...

Agin, I am no expert in this....I would watch eBay for a couple of weeks, that will give you some idea.

Here's my 51-T1607. I believe the 1601 is greenish. These sets have an all glass 16LP4 16" CRT which is worth at least $100 if good. The whole unrestored TV with good CRT could maybe go for $150 on a good day. There are far fewer vintage TV collectors than radio and they are difficult to ship so location really matters.

The Predictas came about 7 years later are in a class by themselves because of the unique styling.
