Suggeston: filter capacitor etc discussions.

Ron

I see that many topics, inluding ilter caps, recap ne esoty and such, come up often and become full blown discussions.
Not that I don't enjoy discussions but it ha become a de ja vu in here.

Should we make a sticky notes for very basic things like X and Y cap ratings etc, and instead of a bunch of us every time explaining it all over again just refer a person to a respective sticky?

Will also save on space and housekeeping job for you.

Thanks, Mike. The mod team and I will take that suggestion under advisement.

I was going to say that without fresh meat, etc.... But safety and best information is still good even if it gets published a lot. Safety capacitors, 3 prong plugs, mis-wired recepticles, potentially fatal antenna and ground connections come up every week or so, and I don't know about anyone we lost so far about talking about it.

I see no problem with regularly re-hashing the issues. Agree about the new members. We all were there at one time or another.

One of the best things about the Philco Phorum is that questions by new members do not receive the wise-a__ comments often seen elsewhere.
