Hey Mike!
Radio works fine so no open filament i guess but when I plugged it into the tester it sparked inside and showed 0 on the meter. I actually did not test the radio after that. maybe it did blow now?
I'll get a new tube and see what happens.
I just thought that tube moght control the dial lamps

If you read your post, (remember, English is my second language), your times are so confused I cannot make heads or tails of whether your radio works despite blown tube, or it does not....
Try to stick to the chronological order....

well, she is dead now so I guess that 14C7 is blown. Funny, it did not blow until I tried to test it.
hopefully when I get the new tube it will fix the problem.
Thanks for the help

Bad switches / bad setting on the tester?
Or, switching while the tube is in and the voltages are applied?

Well, A buddy made me a decal and it is perfect except for the color. He does not have the gold in the middle but it is the perfect size.
Better than $16.00 for 4 at radiodaze.
I think I can live with it but i'm not sure....
what do you guys think?

This is the wrong forum to ask this.
You know how people here are: the uglier a Z is, the better
So whatever the answer is, you have to take it with a grain of salt.

He did a nice job but the lack of gold would bother me. I guess white and gold are two colors we can't duplicate very easily with homemade decals.

OK, Kirk, don't let John in. Or when he comes, turn the Z away.

I agree with John, even though it is a Z it does deserve proper coloring on the decal. Excellent job on the graphics but inkjet printers other than black are too transparent when used on decals. They pick up the wood color and of course as John indicated, no gold or white.
Kirk, spend the $16 for a set of 4 and sell the extras off for $8 apiece to others in need! You could make a little money.

Next time post them before pasting. This will save you the trouble of removing.

Mike, your cruel!
Ya never know what they will look like (home made decals) until applied when you see the true colors. I have tried many times. I love to read the bantering back and forth between you and Kirk. Don't pick on Kirk (I know your friends) I enjoy reading the stuff but your spelling is absolutely terrible. Kirk is better. My spelling is only slightly better but credit to both of you. My Spanish is bad and my French is even worth.
Enjoy your dialog back and forth.
Best, Jerry

My spelling is great! But the touch keyboard on my iPad creates lots of typos. You think you pressed a key and what you pressed is the one next to it.

Case in point: your French is even worth
Friends? I don't even like him
I give him hot chassis hoping he will get shocked real good
I even solder the b+ to the ground sometimes
