Cabinets restored by Kirk:
#1

Stromberg-Carlson, Philco 20, Philco 90, Philco 66 and Philco 80.

All look great.
Will photograph and place the pics when available.
Although the lighting there is not really dark polish surface-friendly, so the pics won't do justice to them.
And I have not yet rubbed out the finish.

Still.....

The Philco 66 is my favorite, really great looking radio. And it works well too.

80jr gave me some trouble when reassembled, barely receiving stations with a small piece of wire (should receive a local station well). Happened to be a weak Det-Osc tube, I simply swapped the two (Det-Osc and 2nd det) places and the reception became nice.

the last one is 20 Deluxe, I have to still empty the filter can (I was looking for a clean way of doing it as I do not have an old crock-pot, and I seem to think of one. I do not want small tar debris all over, and so far with all I tried this was the case. If it works I will share it. It will involve a clear plastic bag Icon_smile ). When I do I will reassemble it.

There are other ways to make a smoked bagels....liquid smoke is one, long time in a toaster is another.
Dipping in tar is a bit extreme, but, hey, I respect that!
