Was wondering what would be the best place to buy cloth covered power cord wire?
I see several vendors on ebay. What is the proper guage to buy? Price range? Single strand or multi?
Thanks for advice. This would be for my old radios, mostly 1930s Philcos.

Rule of thumb for Philco radios: They used cloth-covered power cords through the 1936 season. Some early 1937 models also have it, but it was during the 1937 season that Philco changed from cloth to rubber for its power cords.

Sometimes sellers with list pre cut lengths on fleabay for reasonable prices as well, $1.50 to $2 a foot gets pretty expensive unless it's for a more valuable radio. Fortunately most of cloth cords I have run into are still in decent shape, though there are a few rotten and crunchy ones around here too.
