37-38-116 and 116X clarifiers
#1

All these models have clarifiers and need too be repaired, here is a picture of the repair by Don Ferguson as suggested by another member who's name I can't remember. Don changed the method a little but it's easy and it works. Use 7/64 metal or plastic screws and nuts. [Image: http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a508...c24697.jpg] he used the rubber bracelets you can get almost any where, see if you can find brown or black to match the original color. These clarifiers are in the radio we just completed this past Monday .[Image: http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a508...cfa19b.jpg]

Off-topic, but considering the chevron reproduction cloth is available, why not use it?

He chose this cloth because it came in a 24 x 24 size and he liked how it looked. This radio is in his personal collection. You need two pieces of the 24 x 18 cloth everyone sells to do it as designed.

Nice looking radio and they are great performers.

Ronin,

I bought one piece off of Kenny and he threw in the two pieces for clarifiers for free.
