Light socket repair
#1

Any one out there that has rewired the dial light sockets on the automatic tuning sets? I have one with a couple bad wires that need replacing and thought I'd ask before taking one apart.
#2

Looks like the socket that lights the dial/band indicator needs it as well.

I don't believe this is quite what you're asking about but Ron did a pilot lamp rewire in the tech section, maybe part if it will help...

Thank you Bob that did help Icon_smile

The rewiring went perfectly thanks to the pilot lamp rewire by Ron. The hardest thing was finding the correct plastic washers locally.

I found a source for the #6 plastic/ nylon washers, ACE Hardware has them. They are 0.11 apiece. They are in the pullout
trays in the single nut/bolt and washer section.

That's great! I have an Ace Hardware close by. Lowe's only had 5 of them and they were much more. I was waiting for them to get a new shipment in.
