1961-62 Magnavox console
#1

Got this a couple of weeks ago from friend for free, he just wanted it out of the house. As received it worked but I could tell it needed all the stuff we should do when we get these. So I proceeded to replace all caps and any out of spec resistors. It has amp, the tuner, and lucky for me the multiplex adaptor. Here are a few pictures of the console and all related components including the Collaro S600 turntable . Well it seems like I cannot attach pictures today, I will try again later.[Image: http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a508...1d207b.jpg][Image: http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a508...0ae3bf.jpg][Image: http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a508...875686.jpg][Image: http://i1281.photobucket.com/albums/a508...a58faf.jpg]the turntable is is in fine condition and just took some cleaning and lube maintenance . The crossovers for the speakers required the new 16 mfd non polorized caps. The originals were 16 at 25 volts, I went with 16 at 100 volts. The multicap can in the amp I cut and restuffed and all of the wax caps were replaced.

In your last post - which I corrected above - you forgot to include the [img]tag before the photo link, and the [/img] tag after the link. You also had an extra "http" at the end that did not belong there.

Adding photos isn't difficult, but the information must be entered exactly, else the photo will not display.

Very nice Mag. If you get the pictures into photobucket, click on the picture and it will come up larger. Go to the right side of the screen and scroll down to select the "img" option. Click on it (it should say copied briefly) and then carry it to your post, position the cursor where you want to paste and right click to select paste and then click and your picture should land where you want it! For multiple pictures, just toggle back and forth selecting and pasting.
Best, Jerry

After I cut the can I stuffed it with new caps and sealed it with 1.5 inch string tubing. This picture does not show the shrink tubing.

Very nice! Love the old tube consoles. Looks like it uses EL84/6BQ5's in pp for output. You get some great sound from EL84's. Still has the original output tubes!
