Something old,new borrowed and blue
#1

This philco 112x was not wanted buy anybody except me, it reminded me of the misfit toys of Roudofh the red nose raindeer movie. The cabinet was so roached out that even I had to scratch my head , it was at an antique radio auction and I got it.  All the veneer was shot except the front control panel. its customized a little, but so what, that's the way I wanted it. Added 5 watt nite lite above the speaker on seprate switch , I think philco did that one time on a different radio of that time period, i don't remember the model, I like the cross in the sound board , a preacher could use that radio in his study. If you put your mind to it you can do it. Thanks for letting me share Fred Taylor

If you literally mean that it had cockroaches falling out of it, I'd leave it inside an unheated garage so the cold freezing winter temperatures will freeze and kill any roach eggs.  I'm assuming that you're not in the deep South.
