Hello all, I am new to this forum, so please bear with me if I seem unknowledgeable about Philco radios. My Father was sort of a electronic geek from the 40's. I remember he had an old zenith TV in the basement that took about an hour to warm up and the screen was about 4"x4", but he kept the danrned thing working. I think he gave it away to someone before he moved to FL 20 years ago (sigh, I wish he had kept it!). Any was he passed away a few years back and I've been going through the stuff in the garage and I found an old Philco mystery remote. I have found some things about it in general online, but this one in particular has me stumped. The serial Number on the back of the unit is 5 N 011820. I can't find any corresponding numbers to match this online. On the inside there are 2 part numbers: 10350-A on side of box, and 38-9704 on the flywheel/gear bracket. The box is also made of wood, unlike others I've seen mentioned online. Can any one give me any clues as to when this was made? How much it could be worth?
Thanks for any help.

Hi
You will find a great deal of information on Philco Mystery Control at Chuck's site:
http://www.philcorepairbench.com/mystery/
All of these have wood cabinets with Tenite plastic dials.
These do not have individual model numbers as they were sold with the corresponding radio. The "10530-A" is the part number of the cabinet. I have a little info on that at home, but only about the cabinet itself, nothing technical. For technical info, see the link to Chuck's site above.

Members,
I am trying to get in touch with (Cash or Chuck) I bought a Philco Mystery Remote Control off of E-Bay & it is Missing the Battery Pack with 3-Prong Plug In. I replaced the #30 Tube. I've tried for 3-Day's to send an E-Mail to (Chuck) and it don't go through at all. I do not know how to use the Internet very good at all.
I have to use my I-Phone 4S because it has to be a Touch Screen. I am 64 Years Old & took care of my Mother for over 16 Years at Home. I am also Legelly Blind 20/400. I've tried a Computor with a Mouse & Screwed it up so gave up on them. So is there anyone who can help me get in Touch with Cash or Chuck? Every time I try to send an E-Mail to Battery Maker it goes to other People I can't seem to figure out to get in Touch with Chuck Directally. Could someone else help me out? I'd really appreciate someone out there that could help me out & telephone Number for Chuck.
Thank You.
Ron

Is the Chuck our Chuck or is it some Chuck from eBay? In the latter case you are the only one who can contact him through eBay.
And who is Cash?

Ron,
I'll give everyone all the Information I have to help me Locate Chuck for a Battery Pack.
His Video is on (YouTube). I think I Typed in who can Repair a Philco Mystery Remote Control or where can I Purchase a Battery Pack for my Philco Mystery Remote Control. One name I get is (Cashwark). But I'm sure it is Chuck?
It is the very 1st Video on YouTube about that Chuck makes them from Scratch it uses (2) C-Cell Batteries & (5) 9-Volt Batteries. The Guy made a Wooden Case for them & the Cover just Lifit's Off. The Battery Cover is Carboard that is Yellow & Blue in Color & Has PHILCO in Big Letters on the Top. The Back of the Battery Pack is Carboard in Blue Color. And on Top is a 3-Pin Plug In to match the Other End inside my Remote Control. This is about all the information I can come up with.
Please any Help would be appreciated.
Thank You.

That's Bill Morris, he used to make reproduction battery packs but I don't think he is in the business anymore, at least not for ready made battery packs.

Ron,
Hello again. I replied to you a few days ago last week regarding contacting
Bill Morris, aka BatteryMaker, through the email contact in my Resource Links
page on my website, and also that I do not take on repairs of any kind.
My website is an informational site for technical info for collectors to do
their own repairs and restorations.
It seems now, from comments of others here that he no longer makes reproduction battery packs.
Unfortunately, that's all the help I can give you at this point Ron. I do not make these battery packs and
I know of no one else who makes these packs.
