Hi, I have a cath. model 144 that we played a couple of times a week for hours at a time till it gave up. I don't think that it ever had a repair done to it. Anyway with a some help with Ron's advise I recaped it. Its alive again, I guess it was made to last. This was my first try at repairing any radio. I've had good luck with some of my others since then. Thanks Ron for your help. Don
