For a very good condition Philco 20 standard Cathedral? I have one spotted and am watching it but asking price seems steep, she's asking $165.00. Most I've ever paid for a Cathedral/tombstone is $130 and it was a much cooler looking shouldered version GE in excellent condition. Thanks for your opinions.

If the grill is perfect, has a great original finish, NO rust on the chassis, ALL original parts in place and globe tubes, that is a fair price.

It depends on the state. Generally 20 goes for more information than plain cathedrals do. Up to $200 in the state Russ described is fair though one could haggle. And even without globe tubes. In your local non-auction case could be a bit less.

Offer a lower price, say $120.00 and see what happens. You can always go up. Take care, Gary

I'd bring an ohm meter to check the spkr field coil and output transformer. Those K spkrs are expensive!

field is even more important, the transformer can be replaced, but the open field means taking the speaker apart and possible reconing.

Got the 20 today. She dealt with me a little and I got it for $150. Cabinet is dull and I am gluing some loose veneer but overall very good. Looks like one previous repair on grill but very well done. All tubes good (alas no globes) and it works but is a little low on volume and scratchy. Not sure if grill cloth is original but it's a good repro if not. All internals look original except power cord. Trying to post pics bit my wife's IPad isn't cooperating.

Decent price for a 20. Can vary, but not bad at all.

Sorry in advance, I know I did not post photos correctly, but between this IPad and the mosquito swarm dining on me out here in the garage I've about had it for today.

Looks like someone attempted refinish.
Will have to get correct color.
Does the speaker work?
