Have you considered having the insides made as a plastic injection? You could even eliminate the separate cell / battery holders, as the terminals and so forth could be cast into it.

Hi Chuck,

Here's a scan I made from a 1958 Eveready Batt. replacement guide.

You can go by radio model number or go at the last pages, find the Philco batt model, cross reference to Eveready and many other brands too.
The voltages are shown in the second column.

Hope this helps in the future.
