1937 Silvertone 4585
#1

Hey everyone,
Haven't posted anything for awhile and haven't even been working on anything radio related. Most, if any, extra money has been going to my '49 Packard, but I ran across this Silvertone 4585 on Craigslist for $75 and I jumped on it. It was about 85 miles from home and it was a nice day for a ride. I really like these big gold dial Silvertones and this one is in very nice shape overall. I will add it to my infinite list of future projects! Here are some pics.

Very nice, Kevin. I like those big round dials myself. Similar to the one on my 1937 Sparton.

I also live those large dials on any radio. It won't take much to get it looking real good. The cabinet does not look like it will take too much to get it looking mgood
Greg I am also interested in what model your Sparton is. I just bought a model 98,   haven't got it yet but it looks similar. I can't find the schematics for it .. I did find the ones for models 748X,768,,768X,, 778 and 778X. Are they the same?

My Sparton is a model 987. May have been made in 1936.
