116-122 Grille Cloth
#1

I saw a post on ARF about a guy asking what grille cloth to use for his Philco. It looked like he needed the same stuff that I will need on my 116X or 116-122 restoration project. I've included some pictures of the cabinet and a small pice of the cloth that i cut from one on the clairfiers. RD doesn't look like they have a match, matter-of-fact theirs looks like just the opposite colors that I need. Radio Daze has their cloth #41 that's close. So what cloth is out there I can use? Thanks guys.

Well I ordered the cloth from RD and I'm starting work on the cabinet. Not real happy with the RD cloth. I like the other cloth RD offers but it looks like the colors have been reversed.

What are people using these days?

The last picture shows how much this cloth has faded.

That is 1938 Philco chevron cloth; entirely wrong for 1935-37 Philco sets.

If you order from Radio Daze, you want #03 (GRC03), not #41 (GRC41).

If you order from Kenny, you want the Philco Chevron cloth.

OK, I thought so. I'll return the stuff and get the GC-03 stuff.

Thanks.
