Alignment Tool
#1

Does anyone know where I can find an insulated alignment tool with a 1/4" hex socket for adjusting tuning capacitors and IF adjustments.  I had one years ago but can not find one today.  The kits that the on-line Electronic stores sell do not have the hex socket in them  I have restored 2 Philco radios, Models 80 & 81.  You can not use a metallic tool for adjustments on these radios.

Thanks very much to anyone who can help.

Amazing things can be crafted from chopsticks rejected from the kitchen by my better half, so long as they are dried off.

As recall those Philco hex adjustments are at ground potential so you can use pretty much any metallic tool for tuning.

That is true for the 80 and 81 but, don't assume this is so for all Philcos. Some Philco models have trimmers on the primary of the IFs, those will have B+ on them.
