Yes - as it has a short power transformer and 6-pin sockets on the left for type 42 tubes, it is a 116B Code 121 chassis.
116X Code 122 sets have a thicker power transformer (more iron), and the two tube sockets along the left edge of the chassis as shown in your photo would be 4-pin sockets for 6A3 tubes. You may find this page useful as you service your 116: http://www.philcoradio.com/tech/116.htm It outlines undocumented changes to the 116 AVC circuit. -- Ron Ramirez Ferdinand IN

Wow Ron
Your really good at chassis Sam Some day, and that day may never come, I will call upon you to do a service for me. But until that day, accept this justice as a gift mafiamen2

Wait - hold the phone, folks.
No, I'm not that good...once again, a case of looking at something right after getting up... Let's try this again. That chassis has round tube shields! Brenda, can we see the front of the chassis, please, showing the dial scale? From the back, the dial setup looks like a 116 but the chassis itself looks more like a 16 Code 125... And can you tell me this: Does the band switch have 4 positions, or 5? -- Ron Ramirez Ferdinand IN
