#16

Very nice  Icon_clap

I will be going to Staples and getting copies as the paper is 11x14. I will gladly shoot you one or if you want just a file to play with and try to clean it up I can do that too!

Both would be nice if you can.

Ok,
I went and got them scanned. I printed the 116X ad but it is unedited.
I edited them today so if you message me your email addy I can send the high resolution scans of the originals and fixed up ad's.

The second one is the original instructions for the Philco 70.

Anyone who wants them please message me with your email addy. Do not copy the ones below. They will lose a ton of resolution and clarity.

Some very light sanding and then the clear top coats! The trim is Extra Dark Walnut.

I did the grille cloth today and just couldn't resist a sneak preview.  I have to sand the sealer coats then on to the final top coats.  Getting close.  It'll be ready in a few weeks.

Still need some information. I'm hoping someone here can help.

I concerns the small tan colored plastic piece that goes between the dial glass and the shadow meter. When I got this radio, this piece was missing. Does it attach to the back side of the dial glass or to the front side of the shadow meter? Regardless of where it goes, how does it get attached? any help especially pictures would be appreciated.

I did a search and came up with nothing. I'll do another search in the mean time.

Thanks.

I found a picture of the backside of the dial glass and it had the tan colored piece of plastic on it. Looking at mine to appears that it was tack glued on the backside of the glass. The plastic is trapezoid shaped.

Now I'll have to cut up an old discarded dial scale to make one up.

Here's a picture of how it is shaped and attached.

No sneak peeks buddy!

You want the full satisfaction of seeing it when it is all finished and gleaming.
Now you must work with your eyes closed until finished.

That's the same plastic that's used on the dial, cut a piece off old dial to fit in its place Icon_eek
