I am working on a Philco 37-10, a smaller brother of the big 37-116 which both have the teledial. The vernier does not rotate smoothly. It feels like it has flat spots on the bearings. I tried to use penetrating oil to loosen up the grease but the flat spots are now more noticeable. ;-)
I tried to do my research and saw a number of good articles as always on the ARF as well as Philco forums:

I would like to take this thing apart and see the condition of the bearings and perhaps replace them. From one post it appears that Mark Oppat may have bearings for this drive assembly. The posts make mention of a clip which I do not see anywhere (see photo below). I do see a pin I believe at the red arrow in the photo but pushing it in has no effect. I wanted to see if that is indeed what is holding this together before I do anything stupid and force it. Appreciate it if anyone can comment on this and help out.
