Magnavox Windsors
#13

When I saw the picture of your Windsor, my eyes about popped out of my head! I couldn't believe what I was seeing! #1, it is BEAUTIFUL! #2, I have the electronics out of one of those or something very similar. I bought mine from an old TV tech (my mentor) back before I could even drive. I always called it my "radio set". I would even take it with me when I spent nights at my grandparents house. I was so fascinated by this rig. The eye tubes were most interesting. I had to replace the power transformer on the FM tuner. It developed a short and would get hot and sizzle. Worked ok tho. Blew a wet electrolytic on the amp/power supply. It has the 2 big speakers with field coils on each. My amp looks different tho. Mine uses 2 5Y3's and 4 6V6 output tubes. Another project I hope to restore someday. I wont have a cabinet but do have shelves! I had NEVER seen another until now! Thanks for sharing!

If I could find the place called "Somewhere", I could find "Anything" Icon_confused
