Midwest Radio K-18

This radio needs alignment, but i have no alignment instructions. I've been instructed to connect my signal generator to the mixer tube which is the 6sa7 on pin eight. The if is 456. where do i connect the ground too. Here is the drawing for this model and any suggestions i will try.

The i.f. cans on the top of the will present a problem since i don't know what is what.
