Philco 71b ??
#15

Hi Bartolome,
The only correct valves you is the 39 (also called 39/44), 36, and the 80. The rest have the wrong heater voltages to operate in this set.
Here is the service information   http://www.nostalgiaair.org/pagesbymodel...013837.pdf
You may have to make the metal coil shield as it is not common the the model 70. If you would like my parts chassis you are welcome to it. To cut down on shipping costs I can remove some of the heavier parts that are left. With this chassis it has the coil shields, they are stamped into the chassis and don't come off without cutting them. I took a look on the net for a 71 set with those square shields and could find any,was your set built in the US?

If you need a source for the other valves I have spares too if it makes sense to ship form here.
Tnx for the picture update!

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.
Circa 1966
Now I think I've got!

Terry
