Emerson 659
#7

The Emerson is back in operation! Seven wax capacitors, new filters, and replacing the aging selenium rectifier has done wonders for this radio. Actually picks up stations a lot better, especially FM where I have it sitting right now. Still a little directional on the AM antenna as it seems to prefer sitting with the back pointing SE while I currently have it sitting with the antenna back facing West-ward. Of course, that is also facing the hillside right behind the house. Still, this is a nice little AM-FM radio with rather good sound. The shop owner, and friend of mine, told me this one has the little neon bulb in it, which puts it as the first version of this radio for Emerson if what I have researched is correct.

No matter where you go, there you are.
