after buying an old philco 46-350 for $35 i had it on a shelf for a while (fixing RCA 1R81) i had looked at the chassis and noticed a shiny part. So to make the chassis fit in i decided to buff the chassis. After thinking awile I decided for a cheap alternative... toothpaste. It sounds gross but let it sit on the chassis for about five minutes get a paper towel and wet it and rub the toothpaste off and look at the chassis shine I suggest if you have a lot of time on your hands to do it it took about 3 hours to strip the components off. then another 30 minutes to buff the chassis. but it is worth it they bring the whole radio back to its golden days!!!
