Annoying Newbie Question...again.
#1

Alright...everyone here has been super helpful with me and extremely patient and gracious.  If I haven't worn out my welcome, I'd like to ask another question.  I have a G1606 with an external speaker (SA-1000).  When I bought the pair, the SA-1000 only gave off a high-pitched hum.  Everyone here said "replace the caps".  I did.  Then it only gave a quite hiss from the speaker.  I tested all the resistors and found a few caps in reverse.  I corrected any problems I came across.  Now, I get sound (yes, actual music) from the speaker.  I only get sound from the electrostatic speaker; clear but weak.  Nothing from the cone speaker.  I've tested both against a different record player with the same outcome: weak signal from electrostatic/nothing from the cone.

Help.
