Gozinta
#41

This came today.

The tip was unscrewed and Deoxit Fader Lube was added and sucked in.
Then through the opening the tube was screwed upon the pot thread.
I was a bit unsure about the fact that the pot's nut has those small holes in it as it is not a solid but a sheet metal nut. But as I watched it while pressing the piston, nothing really came out.
Then  I gave it a test and it was still scratchy.
So I added bunch more Deoxit and repeated the procedure, having pumped several times.
Then gave it a check again, this time the scratching has diminished, and as I worked the shaft several times, it had fully disappeared.

So.....success?
Of course there's still the power switch. But it works and with some use might self-clean.

Ron:

From the feeling of it, I think there is no piston piston (wide part) inside. I think the brass rod simply moves inside the fitting diameter barrel, so no felt/leather/whatever. Metal in metal. Which I guess is a good news.
It's not a lot of compression but just enough to force the liquid enough lube inside a pot.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.
