Funny what you remember. What a cool thing it was to listen to all those stations many far away. My dad brought  me home a little black transistor job from a surplus store around here called Bldg 19. 2 bucks, and boy did I have fun with it. Lasted a long time for a cheapie. May be listening to a portable tonite as our lights have been fading. 60-70 Mph winds up here. Tough nite to be a trouble man with Eversource.  Icon_eek
