Now that I have the cabinet nearly finished (see the thread in the cabinet restoration section), I thought I'd begin the process of chassis restoration while I wait for a couple of other things to finish up.

This chassis is fairly clean with very little molestation.  The only thing I can find is one tube shield base mangled to allow a newer style tube.  Still, the shield fits on it.  No work has been done under the chassis that I can find - virgin territory!  As others have suggested, the RF tuner chassis appears to be quite a bit simpler than the 37-116 I previously finished.  It should be a good project!
