Pronunciation of Fada and inquiry about Model365C
#1

Hi everyone,

I have recently come across a radio of this name here in New Zealand and repaired it back into going condition. It is a model 365C and is quite interesting as it is American and it has a mixture of valves, using both octal and what we in N.Z. call UX bases. Fada is a brand that was previously imported into N.Z. pre World War 2  though it was never common here. This is the first I have seen in 20 years of collecting.
I would like to make a little presentation about it to our local vintage radio group meeting but I  have two problems.
The first is that I am not sure if the chassis is in the right cabinet. It fits around the dial and  the knob holes  all tally up but the chassis was bolted to a wooden board which was secured into the cabinet with two wood screws driven up through the bottom of the cabinet  in somewhat random positions .
Does anyone have a Fada Model 365C in a wooden cabinet who can tell me if this is how the original was fixed in the cabinet?
Secondly I would like to know what is the correct pronunciation of the word "Fada". Does it rhyme with Fader, or does it rhyme with the word for the art movement da-da?
Thanks everyone and Cheers.
