Would the fact of different catalogue part numbers
(144: 32-1369, 44: 32-1274) make a difference?
One problem I had was switching over or jumping in the replacement first IF, The adjustable capacitors are external to the coil, and there is no place to mount them in the 144 chassis. On the 44, they are mounted on the back of the chassis with holes drilled for mounting and a hole for adjusting. There is no such place on 144.
