Yes, the pinout is different between the octal 6SQ7/GT & the loctal 7B6 dual diode/HI-Mu triode:
6SQ7/GT:
1. N.C.
2. Triode grid
3. Cathode
4. Diode plate 1
5. Diode plate 2
6. Triode plate
7. Filament
8. Filament

7B6:
1. Filament
2. Triode Plate
3. Triode Grid
4. N.C.
5. Diode 1 plate
6. Diode 2 plate
7. Cathode
8. Filament
