A charity organization, St Vincent de Paul Society in Geneva Illinois ask if I can repair a 1931 Philco 90 Highboy that was donated. They sell the donated items to help families in need. I've repaired radios for them in the past. I do not charge for the service or parts. This radio has me a little stumped. The speaker cone disintegrated. I wanted to replace it with an aftermarket but was wondering on the impedance matching coil. I will still use the filter choke from original speaker. I will also replace all capacitors and check resistor values and condition of tubes. The dial bezel and a knob is also missing. Can someone advise on how to tackle the speaker issue.
