66B speaker
#1

Hi all, I have a 66B that is what I presume to be a "late" version as its shape is cathedral and not tombstone - and the speaker cone is trash, so I'm considering my options on this radio.

Has anyone fabricated a new cone for this type of speaker?  I've never really tried something like this - particularly a type with the center spider screwed into the pole piece.  If so, do you fabricate a new VC bobbin or reuse the original?  I haven't been able to find anything on youtube.  Glasslinger on youtube made a speaker cone but it was for a 20s speaker without a VC.

Is there a pre-existing cone kit that can be modified to work with this speaker?

Any insight or links greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

John
