Just got a 49-1613 need to know...everything!
#2

The model number may give a more exact clue as to the circuit, but this type of "entertainment center" is just at the cusp of coming into its own as a collectible.

If you LIKE it's charm then an electrical restoration is very possible. As for the phono, my guess it is 78 RPM only and that would limit the range of recordings that could be played. There is a great deal of circuit troubleshoot info published.

It is possible to install a later 3-speed phono, of which may well have to be restored too. For any phono deck the availability of parts is a consideration, generally the idler rubber and motor support rubber mounts.

If you want direct play of modern music a local Broadcast transmitter either a complete unit or a build can be used to play programming for the web to any AM or FM radio is desired. Sources can be Youtube...

As it stands, "street" value say Craigs List would be $25 at MOST. So it is not a sleeping gold mine.

As said if it appeals to you you can find support here for bringing the electronics and the phono up to "speed"...
