38-62 new volume problem

Just cleaned off the chassis where the ground for the volume pot is soldered on. The volume sound is clear closest to on/off switch.When rotated to higher volume...the volume level lowers a little & gets more bass. I tried my other speaker again,and still the same. I think I wired something wrong. I rechecked all my soldering for a bad connection. Here's a link to my schematic. http://www.nostalgiaair.org/PagesByModel...013211.pdf
