I actually got to hear the SABA play today when I took my Westinghouse AM-FM up to be worked on and also now know a price for the radio. The same guy who brought my very dead RCA 87K1 back to life and worked on my Philco 37-116 Deluxe managed to get his SABA working enough to try out. Still needs some attention with relays and the auto tuning won't shut off and keeps working the tuning back and forth on tuned channels. Other than a small spot on the top, the cabinet is in very nice shape and it actually has the optional multiplex box attached to the inside of the back panel. I never noticed that until today with the dial lights illuminating the inside of the radio. I was quoted a price of $400 for the radio as it is, so might go for it in a week or two when the Westinghouse is done. I've seen these SABA radios bring way more than $400 without any work done on them.
No matter where you go, there you are.
