Philco 40-155
#15

Hi Folks, apologies again. For al interested, especially Roger, please reread the entire thread as I had ade several connections to the post. Rojer, I think that the bottom line here is that your radio was built to use a 6J8 triode Heptode instead of a 7J7 triode Heptode or any other tube for that matter. Again, I can understand the possibility of a 6A8 or 6K8 possibly working, but a 6J7 or 6K7, I have no idea on how they would function as a convertor due to pin 6, an important connection, not existing on a 6J7 or 6K7.

Roger, I hope that you can get a 6J8, I GOTTA know how this Magillie (Mahguil?) ends.

"Do Justly, love Mercy and walk humbly with your God"- Micah 6:8
"Let us begin to do good"- St. Francis

Best Regards,
