I just found your post. I have this exact same model, and have had it since 1985 when I was 15 years old! I performed a partial electronic resto back then, basically a few caps and a tube. The sound when tuned up and aligned is SO rich. I'd had this unit in storage for years and have just taken it back out. I used it for a short time to listen to the 100th birthday of WTIC 1080 in Hartford yesterday. It's quite obvious that I now need to go through and replace all the caps. Looking forward to the progress on yours. Mine will be coming soon
