I have two 76 chassis, in different cabinets, that had speakers with bad field coils. The first had a bad RF coil also. And I have a 95 waiting that also has a bad field coil. It would seem the G speakers did not hold up well. Luckily they are not hard to disassemble, and the coils are straight forward. I have to say, I like that big heavy chassis. They seem to be very repair friendly.
