Thank you Arran for the advice on the speaker, I will certainly give them a try. There is one tear in the speaker and a tiny hole in another spot but it doesn't feel brittle. I have 3 caps and 3 resistors remaining to replace then will work on the speaker, tuning cable and antenna. Then hopefully I will power it up and works better than before I started.
