Kinda weird to see both open, but once you get it up and running, really pay attention to your sound. Listen for loud cracks and pops. Had one I redid with a bad output tranny, and the one I replaced was a replacement. Once I got it up and running I heard a lot of very harsh cracks and pops from the sound, tracked it to a bad driver tube (6J6?). I replaced it with a used one I had and it solved the problem. Possible this was the cause of the failed transfomers? Your's may simply be corrosion - ? Just my 2cents.
