Take a look at the Service Bulletin information in the Library for 1938 Wiring Diagrams, on the right menu is Philco Service Bulletins. Look at the several bulletins, there's one for January 1938 and May 1938. There's several bulletins concerning parts changes to stabilize oscillator frequency.
