I took apart pot. It just had an “e” clip over the cover. I brushed carbon ring with
soft brush , sprayed some F5 on it.
I believe All this time I have had my ohm meter
set in the wrong place. When I set it on “2m” I am getting a reading of 1208 end to end ( would that be a good reading?) and the wiper is now working progressively from low to high.
I will reinstall and see if it works.
