I just want to thank everyone that helped me learn so much and semi successfully get this console player working. It sounds better when I am just playing the radio but when I play albums, it sounds pretty crappy still. Seems I’m going to need to find a new needle cartridge if that’s even an option. Bottom line is I learned a lot and I am no longer completely mesmerized by circuit board work so I will call this a win! If anyone could point me toward a way to make my record player sound better I would appreciate that too. Thanks a bunch
