It's not real important to copy the line cap value. Most common value is 0.01mfd X1 safety capacitor. The way to remember it is, X is across the line, Y is the symbol they make with the transformer primary. (Each cap connects to a primary lead, then both remaining leads connect to chassis ground, Y shape.) You can buy X1Y2 caps so you don't need to buy them separately. They're nice, compact disc caps.
